Ceramic tint is metal-free, meaning it is designed not to interfere with vehicle signals such as GPS, Bluetooth, mobile reception and radio.
• Adhesive Curing: Window tint is applied using a slip solution (water and soap) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The film needs time to bond securely to the glass as the trapped moisture evaporates.
• Risk of Damage: Rolling a window down too early can cause the rubber window seals to catch the edge of the film, leading to peeling, lifting, bubbling, or creasing.
Standard Timeframe: Most tint shops recommend keeping your windows rolled up for 2 to 5 days (48 to 120 hours).
Weather Impact:
In warm or sunny weather, the curing process happens faster (around 2 to 3 days).
In cool, damp, or humid weather, you should wait closer to 4 to 5 days (or up to a week) because moisture takes longer to dry out.
Front side windows must have at least 35% visible light transmission. Rear windows may have at least 20% VLT when the vehicle has mirrors on both sides. Windscreens cannot have tint film except for a permitted top band.
Premium ceramic film can help reduce heat and glare, improving cabin comfort.
Haze or Water Pockets: You might notice a slight milky, hazy, or bubbly appearance right after installation; this is normal and usually clears up on its own as the moisture dries. Do not try to press the bubbles out.
Cleaning: Avoid cleaning or wiping down the inside of the tinted windows for at least 1 week, and always use an ammonia-free cleaner when you eventually do.
